The West Pennant Hills Scout Group was formed in 1997 when the 1st, 2nd and 3rd West Pennant Hills Groups amalgamated. The Scout Hall is located in Wilga Street next to Campbell Park. The Group is part of the Benowie Scout District whose coverage roughly aligns with the Hornsby LGA. The district is named for the Benowie walking track which is the section of the Great North Walk that traverses the Berowra Valley. The Benowie Scout District is part of the Sydney North Region which currently has over 3000 youth members across the region and is in turn part of Scouts NSW.
